The problem with parking in Antelope Valley

The photo above shows the truck owned by Joe Rajkovacz when he made a run to California’s Antelope Valley many years ago. Joe mentioned the truck, and the graffiti on it, during an interview with Land Line Now’s Terry Scruton regarding the problems with parking outside your own property in that area. Truckers who live in Antelope Valley have been able to park at their homes in the primarily rural area for years, but now, local officials are trying to stop them, even issuing threats of tickets and fines. OOIDA has been working with a group of local truckers to overturn the plan.

Amy alerted Land Line Now's Terry Scruton to the story of Bob Garten, a trucker and member who's fighting to save a stray dog named Val. Bob's story will air Thursday, July 23.
