The Run for the Wall passes by OOIDA HQ

TOP PHOTO: A group of OOIDA staff gathers in front of the association's headquarters building well before the Run for the Wall arrives, making sure they'll be there when the bikers pass through. The Run for the Wall is an annual event, in which bikers - mostly veterans, but also supporters - make the trip from California all the way to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC, arriving on Memorial Day.

Karl stopped in to talk with OOIDA staffers as his fellow bikers continued to pass by. He said that he had passed by the headquarters while taking part in the Run three times, and thought it was time to stop in and say hello, and thanks.

Truckin’ for a Good Cause

OOIDA Life Member Cindy Stowe and her in-cab companion, Candy, pose in front of Cindy’s truck during a visit to OOIDA headquarters recently. Cindy was on the program talking about the U.S. version of the Convoy for a Cure, a benefit to aide breast cancer research.

Cleans Up Nice

That's what OOIDA Life Member Paul Sasso said about himself as I took this photo. He's posing here with association member Regina Black dressed up to the nines at the recent truck show as part of their efforts to help the St. Christopher Fund, a project to help truckers in need set up by Dr. John McElligott of the PDMD Clinics and Sirius-XM Radio Host Dave Nemo.
