A soldier and a little sweetheart

SSGT Dale Owens from Farmington, MO, holds Maci Zeysing, daughter of SSGT Shane Zeysing. The two were attending a meeting of soldiers with the Army National Guard who served in Iraq; their units all received care packages from the 2007 Truckers for Troops Telethon. Maci is the granddaughter of Connie Beacraft, one of the OOIDA staffers in charge of assembling the care packages. (photo by Connie Beacraft).

OOIDA staff packs up next shipment to troops

Above: OOIDA staffers Holly Koncilia, Tate Godwin, Sherry Murry and Brad Hennon take care of the final steps in prepping a care package to go out to the troops.
OOIDA staff volunteers spent time Wednesday morning, April 15, preparing the latest shipment of care packages paid for by the Truckers for Troops Telethon donations. Truckers donated more than $54,000 this past December for the care packages, which are being sent to U.S. troops in war zones across the world.

Ambassadors of Ouachita River Country

OOIDA members Mike and Doris Loftin of Monroe, LA, dropped by the OOIDA booth to visit during the Mid-America Trucking Show. We see a lot of couples and even entire families at the event - it really shows that trucking is a family affair.
