Week of May 5, 2008

All our appreciation to the guests on our program this past week, including:

Our stories this past week on fuel siphoning, a House hearing on fuel prices, stealing grease, the winner of a big rig giveaway, a federal action against a Chicago suburb, Greensburg, KS, and state legislation were all the work of Reed Black, who also writes and voices our daily newscast.

Terry Scruton filled in for Reed on the newscast Monday. He also reported on the upcoming issue of Land Line Magazine, an injured trucker who’s back on the road, stolen laptops and the price of diesel fuel.

Jami Jones joined Terry for Roses and Razzberries.

Mark Reddig reported on OOIDA’s outreach to mainstream media, a House transportation hearing, the TRUCC Act, fuel price legislation, energy commodity trading and the USDA’s fruit and vegetable truck rate reports. He also provided answers to the Listener Comment Line.

Our theme music is performed by Webb Wilder and his band out of Nashville, TN.

Thanks also to the lady who keeps the trains running on time, our own traffic coordinator, Sherry Murry, and to our sonic perfectionists, Producer and Senior Sound Engineer Barry Spillman and Second Engineer James Fetzer.

And we’d like to thank the other members of the Land Line Magazine staff who write and research stories used on the show, including:
