OOIDA Life Member Ron Mermis and his NASCAR simulator are at the TA in Jackson, GA. That’s located at Exit 201 off Interstate 75.

OOIDA’s Tour Truck, The Spirit of the American Trucker, will be at the Shell Rotella SuperRigs truck show. The big event takes place May 17th through the 19th at the Joplin, MO, Speedco. That’s located at Exit 11 off Interstate 44.

Ron and his simulator will join the Spirit at SuperRigs. And don’t forget, you can join OOIDA for a discount at either truck.

Terry Scruton reported this week on truck insurance questions, a trucker aided in getting his daughter to prom, the price of diesel fuel, roadside objects and oversize vs. wide loads.

 

Jami Jones came on the show to discuss problems with two common medications. She and Land Line staffer David Tanner also joined us for a discussion of hurricane preparation.

 

Sandi Soendker offered her opinion about “soup to nuts” freight.

 

Mark Reddig reported on Democrats’ transportation platform, a highway user coalition meeting in Washington, DC, the aftermath of the Democratic National Convention and on John McCain’s vice presidential choice.
