Red Cross offers tornado app

The American Red Cross now offers a Tornado Warning and Alert app for smartphones. The app offers a number of information resources. For example, it will: show you the location of Red Cross shelters after a storm; offer instructions for creating your own storm emergency kit; and, most importantly, it will give you an audible siren that goes off whenever the National Weather Service or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issues a tornado warning – an alert that works even if the app is closed. Trucker Charity to aid Moore victims

Reed Black reports that Ted Arnold of Trucker Charity says the group will collect donated supplies at the Walmart at 7800 Smith Road in Denver on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26. They’re looking for volunteers to help sort and load the donations.
