We continue to bring you letters of thanks from soldiers who received care packages courtesy of OOIDA’s Truckers for Troops Telethon.
Since the members are the ones who sacrificed out of their own hard-earned money to make this happen, this is for you:
Hello friends at OOIDA,
I got your package a few days ago. It was very heavy.
I would like to thank all the wonderful people involved in your support – everyone who gave, who sent money, and all the people responsible for putting it all together. We appreciate so much the hard work, sacrifice and dedication everyone involved has shown.
We, yet again, are reminded that there are still people in this country who stand for principles and beliefs that include people other than themselves, and that we are supported in the trials we face.
Things in Iraq are much better than before due to all the support we receive and the Americans who still believe that this place is worth liberating.
The love and support you all give is well received and helps us remember why we decided to enter into the Armed Services.
All my Marines asked me to extend their deepest appreciation, and I, too, would like to do the same.
Keep on truckin’ and we shall do the same. Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Sgt. Andrew Phelps
“Drew”
