OOIDA has issued a Call to Action Alert for members and drivers in West Virginia regarding a mandate on EOBR’s in a final highway bill negotiation. The Teamsters have just joined up with the safety advocates and the ATA to support anti-trucking language in the Senate Highway Bill that would mandate all trucks be equipped with costly and burdensome EOBRs. The provision, which passed the Senate in the bill also known as “MAP-21,” is set to go to conference beginning today with a House bill that does not contain an EOBR mandate.
