Truck in service 68 years still shines

The Freneau family's 1945 White truck, used to move houses.

The front grille was initially designed this way for the truck's original military application.

Kevin Ferneau does some touch up work on the truck during the American Truck Historical Society's National Convention, held over Memorial Day weekend in Des Moines, Iowa. You'll notice he's taken off his shoes while standing on the front bumper so they don't get dirt on the truck.

The company name on the truck's door. The Ferneau family has been in the business for six generations.

The headlights have a grille as well - again, for its intended use as a military truck.

Like any good display truck, every detail is attended to.

While the bulk of the truck is a White Motors product, the top of the cab is from a Diamond T - you can tell from the distinctive divided windshield that opens at the bottom.
