Florida says yes to higher driving violation fines

Protest seeks to limit the reach of speed limiters

Call to Action: Colorado is wanting courtesy, but not for truckers
OOIDA has issued a Call to Action for Colorado truckers. The “Courtesy Bill”, HB 10-42 would require slow-moving vehicles to drive in the right lane or pull off the road and let traffic pass. New Jersey puts the pedal to the metal on road work

Snow job in the Great White North: Speed limiter regulation is on
In today’s Follow Up, Reed Black spoke about a weather-delayed convoy in the Canadian province of Ontario that was planned for Dec. 19, to protest the speed limiters. Ontario officials have officially published regulation for speed limiters on all heavy trucks. However, OOIDA continues the fight to stop the implementation of the regulation.

OOIDA has issued a Call to Action for truckers in Maryland. The Maryland Transportation Authority has proposed increasing tolls for heavy trucks by 50 percent — while making no increase in tolls for four-wheelers. The Transportation Authority will accept public comments on the proposal until Jan. 27.
