In New Jersey, a bill recently signed into law toughens penalties for fuel price gouging in the state. In West Virginia, a special legislative panel voted to propose a bill that toughens state law and the way it punishes drivers who get behind the wheel after drinking too much. New Jersey Budget Plan – Gov. John Corzine of New Jersey recently announced a plan to restructure the state’s debt. Much of his plan would be paid for using toll money from the New Jersey Turnpike and other toll roads in the state. Corzine has scheduled a series of town hall meetings to gather public input on the plan; truckers are encouraged to take part.
